This Privacy Policy explains how Twisted River Farms, LLC (“Twisted River Farms,” “we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit twistedriverfarms.com (the “Site”), shop with us, or contact us. The Site runs on WordPress with WooCommerce.

Twisted River Farms sells and ships only within the United States, and not to Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. We do not market or sell our products internationally. If you are located outside the United States, please do not use the Site to place an order or to provide us with personal information.

Our Commitment in Plain English

We do not sell your personal information, ever. We do not rent, trade, or share your personal information with anyone for their own marketing. We use the information we collect only to run our business — fulfilling your orders, providing customer service, sending our own marketing communications if you have opted in, and improving our Site. The only outside parties that ever see your personal information are the service providers we need to actually deliver our products and operate the Site (for example, our payment processor and our shipping carrier), and only the limited information they need to do their job.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you create an account, place an order, subscribe to our mailing list, leave a review, or contact us, you may give us:

  • Identifiers — name, billing and shipping addresses, email address, phone number, and account password.
  • Order details — the products you purchase, order history, gift messages, and customer service correspondence.
  • Payment information — entered into our checkout but submitted directly to our payment processor (see Section 3). We do not receive or store your full payment card number.
  • Marketing preferences — your subscription status and your communication preferences.
  • Age and location confirmation — your representation that you are at least 21 years old and that your shipping address is in a state we serve.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Site, we and our hosting provider may automatically collect:

  • Device and connection data — IP address, device type, operating system, and browser type.
  • Usage data — pages viewed, time on page, links clicked, and referring URL.
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 5 below and our separate Cookie Policy.

Twisted River Farms does not deploy Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager containers, advertising pixels, UTM tracking, or other third-party analytics or advertising trackers on the Site. If that ever changes, we will update this Policy and our Cookie Policy and provide notice on the Site before any new tracker is enabled.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information only to:

  • Process your orders, accept payment, ship products, and provide customer service.
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Site.
  • Verify your eligibility, including the 21+ age requirement and that your shipping state is one we serve.
  • Communicate with you about orders, account activity, and support requests.
  • Send Twisted River Farms’ own marketing emails, promotions, and product updates if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Comply with legal obligations, including hemp compliance, tax, and recordkeeping requirements.

3. Payment Processing by 2Accept

Payments on the Site are processed by 2Accept (https://www.2accept.net/), our third-party payment processor, and its banking partners. When you submit payment information at checkout, that information is transmitted directly to 2Accept and the relevant card networks. Twisted River Farms receives only limited transaction data — such as the order amount, billing name and zip code, the last four digits of the card, an authorization or transaction ID, and approval or decline status. We do not receive or store full card numbers, full magnetic-stripe data, or CVV codes. 2Accept’s handling of your payment information is governed by its own privacy policy on its website.

4. We Do Not Sell or Share Your Information

Twisted River Farms does not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to any third party for that third party’s own marketing or other independent use. We do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising. We will never share customer details outside of Twisted River Farms for anyone else to market to you.

The only parties that ever see your personal information are the service providers we use to actually deliver our products and operate the Site. Each of those providers receives only the limited information needed to perform its specific service for us, and is contractually or operationally obligated to use that information only on our behalf. They include:

  • 2Accept, our payment processor (see Section 3).
  • Shipping carriers, such as the U.S. Postal Service, who receive the name and address needed to deliver your order, and who confirm adult-signature delivery for age-restricted shipments.
  • Our website hosting provider, which stores Site and order data in secure U.S. data centers.
  • Professional advisors — our accountants, auditors, and lawyers — when reasonably needed.

Twisted River Farms does not currently use a third-party email or SMS marketing platform. If we begin using one in the future, we will update this Policy and provide notice on the Site, we will share only the minimum information needed to send our own communications (such as your email address and your subscription status), and we will never give a marketing provider your name, order history, or contact information for any purpose other than sending Twisted River Farms’ own messages on our behalf.

We may also disclose information when we are required to do so by law, legal process, or government request; to enforce our Terms; to protect the rights, property, or safety of Twisted River Farms, our customers, or others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of substantially all of our assets, in which case we will require the receiving party to honor the commitments in this Policy or provide notice and a meaningful choice before any change.

5. Cookies and Site Technologies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, which fall into a few simple categories: functional cookies that make the cart and login work, preference cookies that remember choices like your cookie-consent selection, basic usage statistics, and — only if you opt in — marketing cookies. As of the effective date of this Policy, Twisted River Farms does not use any marketing cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers. 6. Marketing Communications

If you sign up for our mailing list, we will send you Twisted River Farms product news, special offers, and content we think you’ll enjoy. We will never share or sell your email address or contact details to anyone else for their marketing. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email or by emailing orders@twistedriverfarms.com. Even if you opt out of marketing, we will still send transactional messages about your orders and account.

7. Your Privacy Rights

You may, at any time and regardless of where you live in the United States:

  • Ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Request a copy of your personal information.
  • Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Ask us to delete your personal information, subject to records we must keep for tax, accounting, or other legal reasons.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications.

To make any of these requests, email orders@twistedriverfarms.com from the email associated with your account or write to us at the address in Section 12. We will verify your request and respond promptly. You will not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

Customers in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws have additional rights under those laws, including the right to opt out of any sale or sharing of personal information and the right to opt out of targeted advertising. Because Twisted River Farms does not sell or share personal information and does not engage in targeted advertising, there is currently nothing for those rights to apply to. We will continue to honor those rights if our practices ever change.

8. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, to satisfy our legal, accounting, and tax obligations, and to resolve disputes. Order records are typically retained for at least the period required by applicable tax and recordkeeping rules. When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission of payment data to 2Accept. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password for your Site account and contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children, and purchases require an adult age 21 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. United States Only

Twisted River Farms is a Wisconsin business that sells and ships only within the United States, and not to Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, and Wyoming. The Site, our personal-information processing, and our service providers are all located in the United States. We do not direct the Site to, market to, or knowingly sell to people outside the United States.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on the Site with the “Last updated” date above. If we make material changes — for example, if we ever begin using analytics or advertising trackers, or change our service providers — we will provide additional notice such as an email or a banner on the Site.
